Professional figure

It is a two-year post-graduate higher education course in the field of integrated logistics and freight mobility with technical and operational skills capable of responding to the real requests of companies in the sector.

The diploma is valid throughout the national territory and within the European Community, in line with the European Qualification Framework, 5th level EQF (European Qualification Framework), constituting a title for access to public competitions.

The Superior Technician of the supply chain and logistic information systems works in the planning, management and control of the physical flows of vehicles / goods / people. It manages the relevant information from the place of origin to that of consumption, having an overview of the three dimensions of mobility: land, sea, sky.

He has a systematic competence in the logistics cycle and is able to manage relationships with other actors in the channel, both inside and outside the company.

The resulting macro skills are:

• Knowing the transport documents

• Knowing how to manage the administrative and accounting procedures related to the logistics cycle

• Managing relationships with customers and suppliers using technical English

• Knowing how to apply safety and quality legislation in the logistics sector

• Knowing how to manage production planning processes, procurement, order management, inventory management, storage, handling, packaging, transport

• Analyzing the costs and revenues of the integrated logistics cycle

• Preparing contracts with suppliers and customers

• Identifying the main modes of transport, by land, sea and air, which can be used in providing customer service

• Identifying the planning and development processes of the territorial systems

• Supporting public administrations with regard to infrastructural planning strategies and policies

• Identifying the technological innovations applied to logistics and transport, with fields of applicability, advantages and constraints

• Assessing the potential of simulation tools, the organization of movements and the traceability of goods
